It’s the mystic science of Kundalini Kriya Yoga that allows one to be the architect of one’s own happiness. The secret lies within. As a master of Kundalini Kriya Yoga Yog Martand Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath has been lighting a spark in the souls of many and planting a seed in them to embrace, embody and support ‘Earth Peace’ through self-peace. To introduce about the Kundalini Kriya Yoga that he has been teaching across the world, a screening of the award-winning documentary film, ‘Wings to Freedom: The Path of a Yogi’s mystic journey through the Himalayas’ will be held on November 10 at 5-7 pm at Saraya, Sangolda. The film retraces Gurunath’s steps in the Himalayas.

Descended from the ancient royal family of Ikshavaku Rama of the Solar Dynasty this Himalayan yogi Gurunath chose to fulfill his calling as a yogi after completing his education. Spending his early years in the Himalayas with the Nath yogis he was blessed and empowered by the spiritual men of the Himalayan caves. His transformation occured after his deep, personal experiences with the supreme yogi-Christos, known as the Mahavatar Shiva-Goraksha Babaji. This experience transformed Gurunath, helping him realize the unity of all yogis and religions.

For over 40 years, Gurunath has healed and transformed people all over the world with his transmissions of Kundalini Shakti energy and has shared freely his own Samadhi (enlightened state) of peaceful bliss-consciousness.

He has taught yoga and spirituality not only to followers, but also to world leaders, yet he prefers nothing more than to sit in the simple pristine forests and mountains to meditate in tranquility.

In Goa there are some who follow this yoga and many others who are interested, hence an opportunity to get initiated into Mahavatar Shiva Goraksha Babaji’s Kudalini Kriya Yoga will also be offered to them on November 17 at 9 am to 1.30 pm at Saraya. “Here, Omkar Kriya, Shiva Shakti Kriya, Mahamudra and Paravastha will be taught and the event is facilitated by Kriyavan Kriyacharya Shivraj,” informs Avienaash Shiralige, organizer of both these events.

“After embracing Kriya Yoga my life’s priorities have completely changed. I now, exactly know what I should avoid and am more aware of my ego, anger and other vices. Knowing God has become the goal. It has given a purpose to my life and feels it is at reachable distance,” claims Avienaash who along with wife Rashmie Jaju, has taken initiative to offer similar bliss to others in Goa.

For Rashmie, meditation has become a way of life. She endorses, “Small and big desires do not have the power over me. I don’t have the need to be seen, to be approved, to be validated. The divine joy that I experience in meditation is my source of every-day sustenance. Speaking of tangible experiences, I’ve seen that physical ailments get healed easily now. I find it easy to forgive and move on; and also see it as a test for me to develop my spiritual ardour.”

Indeed, the spiritual science of Kundalini Kriya Yoga finds its roots in the ancient wisdom of the ‘Siddha Siddhanta Paddhatee’ of Mahavatar Shiv Goraksha Babaji. This science of evolution of human consciousness does not concern itself with any religion, cult or faith. This practice has been designed to enable anyone to practice all the aspects of the Ashtanga Yoga.

The Kundalini, situated at the base of the spinal cord (Mooladhar chakra), is an electro-magnetic Pranic energy. Through the practice of spinal breathing (Kundalini breath), this Kundalini force is activated and awakened, whereby this vital energy rises from the Mooladhar chakra up the spinal cord to the hollow space which is situated in the third ventricle known as the seat of the soul (Adnya chakra). This process leads to spiritual evolution and the multiple Holistic benefits for the practitioners at the physical-mental-emotional and astral levels.

Meditation is a way of life

“Yogiraj Gurunath and Kriya Yoga came to me at a time when I was feeling a spiritual lack within. I was restless, and somewhat tired of the material world. There was no problem so to say - I had a loving family, comforts of life, joy of small and big adventures. Yet, there was something lacking within; there was an empty space that felt devoid of light. That was the time Gurunath came into my life. And, slowly but surely my whole perspective on life, on relationships, on desires and wishes, on parenting has changed. This change has led to deep peace within.”
