Bellamo Sports and Wellness Spa was launched at Club Tennis de Gasper Dias in Panaji recently. The inauguration happened at the hands of Brahmanand Sankhwalkar, Arjuna Awardee and former India football captain.
Speaking to media persons, Vyankatesh Shete, promoter of Bellamo, said, “Our spa will provide clients with holistic rehabilitation solutions, which will combine the goodness of sound medical advice, state-of-the-art physiotherapy and high-quality massages.”
Shete further said that the spa was ideal for sports people who battle with injuries and people who seek post-operative rehabilitation after procedures like knee and hip replacements. The spa has in-house team of doctors, physiotherapists and masseurs. Dr Ajit Mapari of Pune, a renowned sports medicine doctor, will guide the spa. Apart from him, Dr Jyotsna Gundecha, a homeopathic consultant and trained yoga instructor, will be the station director of the spa in Goa.
Given that there are a lot of sportspersons in and around Panaji, the spa is likely to be of huge support to the sports fraternity, especially to those recovering from injuries. Another key attraction of the spa is an Oxygen Bar, where clients can breathe doses of pure oxygen with the help of trained staff.
Shete said, “If you take 20 minutes of pure oxygen, your immunity increases significantly.”
