The Goan Sip packaged drinking water will be launched in the state on Sunday at the hands of Goa’s nightingale Lorna.
Packaged by Johan’s Water Resources, Gaundaulim-Colva, women entrepreneur Betty Rodrigues said the state-of-the-art, world class facility has been set up to manufacture the finest packaged drinking water with highest quality standard as per IS 14543:2004.
Addressing the media before the launch of Goan Sip, Betty said the product is being launched seeing the demand for water globally and to give clean and healthy water to Goa and Goan society.
“The dream came true with the support of a consultant, good experienced production manager from Gujarat, young quality control microbiologist and chemist, helpful local employee, good co-operation from government statutory agencies, support from the locals, panchayat, who put in their hard efforts for the last six months”, she said.
“The Goan Sip is equipped with good sales team and marketing. The vehicles too are designed for safe delivery. Johan’s Water Resources has state-of-the-art plant with hi-tech machinery from renowned manufacturers”, Betty added. While promising hygienic practices, right from the time of collection of drinking water, its treatment and packaging, storage, transport, distribution and sale for consumption, Betty said Goan Sip will generate direct employment for 20-25 persons, besides indirect employment for another 20-25, thereby contributing to the Goan economy in its own way.
