Glenmark Pharmaceutical Limited’s (Glenmark) Goa facility has recently been conferred with two prestigious awards for safety, viz., Safety Innovation Award 2019 from Institute Of Engineers for implementing Innovative Safety Management Systems and an award for health and safety under Excellence in Safety in Pharmaceutical Industry at 8th ACEF Asian Leaders Forum and Awards. The awards were presented by Vinod Kumar Yadav, chairman, Railway Board and ex-officio principal secretary to Government. of India and Avinash Oza, zonal marketing manager – Mahindra & Mahindra ltd respectively.
The Safety Innovation awards are given to outstanding government organizations, PSUs, private sector businesses/industries and NGOs for the initiatives undertaken for introducing concepts of awareness and culture in operations in the fields of occupational safety, health and environment. While the 8th ACEF Asian Leaders Forum and Award for Health and Safety recognizes organizations in terms of achievement of safety goals, completion of safety training, and successful implementation of safety practices.
