Workshop on drones held at Don Bosco

A two day drone workshop was held at Don Bosco College, Panaji for the students of BCA (Bachelors of Computer Applications) department. The workshop was led by Gaurav Yadav, Chinmoyee Chowdhury, Asif Bankar and Akshay Ingle of Makermatics technologies LLP, an organization based in Bengaluru. The major highlights of the workshop were manipulation of LED light bulbs using ‘Arduino UNO’, Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) and its implementation in drones, demonstrations of drone flying.  

During the workshop, each team (each consisting of two students) was given a set of equipment such as one ‘Arduino UNO’ board, one circuit board, one motor, and many more that helped the students to learn through experience.  

Reviews from the students confirm that theory as well as practical was perfectly blended for easy understanding of concepts. All participating students found the workshop extremely helpful and informative. Overall, the workshop was a success as students gained more knowledge, experience and a growing interest in new technological development.
