#TG Life

Island of Chorao

Soul Traveling will be exploring the mangrove forest at Chorao to understand its uniqueness, role in climate resilience and the life it supports. The trail will start at the Chorao ferry point near Patto-Ribandar, and then the group will explore this beautiful Island and its star attraction - The Salim Ali Bird sanctuary. The walk will begin in the envelope of the mangrove forest and soon one would be perking up their ears to the sounds of bird life teeming around. Come and learn that gooing lumps that look like active little volcanoes all along the pathway are actually mud crabs at work, the loud clickety clicks were the sounds made by fiddler crabs with their large single claws. Plus, one will get to see snails, barnacles and mud skippers. The trail will be held on Saturday  June 29, 4pm-7 pm

Rains of Rachol

Rachol Village Walk takes you on a beautiful journey in the village of Rachol, situated on the banks of river Zuari. The lush green fields and the beautiful monuments take your breath away. The group explores the remains of what was a fortress in days gone by, and visit the Rachol Seminary , learning about this historic monument and the people who developed it. They are then greeted with the smell of freshly baked bread, and discover the process behind this when they visit a local bakery. Stories about Our Lady Of Snows, the oldest church of South Goa, are also included in this visit.

And of course, the innumerable birds in this area! The trail will be conducted by Architect Tallulah D’Silva on Saturday, June 29, 4pm -7pm

Mormugao Exploration

Mormugao is one place in Goa that is yet to be explored in its full glory, and Soul traveling just does that on this exploration. The group will be exploring some of the most interesting monuments on this trail - Japanese Garden, Old Custom House, Mormugao Port and Clock Tower to name a few. They will be visiting some important locations - like the one where the treaty of Portuguese surrender to Indian forces was signed. The trail will be led by historian Prajal Sakhardande, and is open for locals and tourists. Snacks, lunch and transportation from Margao and Panaji is included. The Margao explorations will be conducted on Sunday, June 30, 9am-3.30pm
