A teenager from Curchorem drowned in the Mhaisal dam at Panchawadi.
Sources said the 17-year-old boy and three friends had gone to the site to bathe in the dam and he drowned in the water.
A fire brigade from Sanvordem and the Ponda police were informed of the incident. Ponda police are investigating the case.
