A cricket coaching camp for under-16 boys commenced on Friday at SAG ground, Agonda. The camp has been organised by Maratha Warriors in association with Goa Cricket Association (GCA) and was inaugurated at the hands of Chetan Desai.
Agonda sarpanch Pramod Phaldessai, members of Maratha Warriors, Shamba Desai, Samrat Bhagat and Vallab Desai, were present for a brief inaugural function held on Friday evening. Bhagat said the camp is organised to scout young cricket talent in the area.
Around 50 participants registered on the inaugural day of the coaching camp that will conclude on May 15. It will be conducted in two sessions, from 7 am to 9 am and from 4 pm to 6 pm. Three coaches from the GCA and two Ranji players will impart training to the participants, the
organisers said.
