Pratik Bhattacharya and Pulkit Prajapati, two artists associated with the Museum of Goa have won international acclaim. Pulkit who had exhibited at the Goa Affordable Art Fest’17 & 18 as well as been part of an artist residency that the Museum organized got selected for one of the most prestigious Portrait Awards in the world.

The painting “Rest in Peace” which was also a part of the Goa Affordable Art Fest’18  was selected from  2538 entries from all world for the BP Portrait Award, which represents the best in contemporary practice. 

Pratik Bhattacharya won the Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarship issued by the British Council. The fully paid scholarship allows him to complete a 4 month artist residency at Newcastle University. The PhD Scholar from Santiniketan is happy to have received this unique opportunity and proposes to further his artistic research in Newcastle University as a multidisciplinary art practitioner.

Pratik through his paintings and installations which are kinetic and interactive to some extent are on display at Museum of Goa, Pilerne.
