Shree Nagesh Maharudra Sports Club eased their way past Sateri Sports Club 4-0 in a Goa Football Association Second Division League match played at Taleigao ground, on Thursday.
Sateri Sports Club, despite starting the match with just nine players and with no man on the bench, gave a tough fight to their opponents as they played a strong defensive game. Though Nagesh Maharudra took the lead in the third minute through Sandesh Shirodkar, they found it difficult to score more goals in the first session as the first half scoreline read 1-0 in favour of Shree Nagesh Maharudra.
The second half saw a similar pattern at the start as Sateri SC were difficult to break in the defence and Nagesh Maharudra struggled despite having a two-man advantage. They finally doubled the tally in the 73rd minute through Sharan Adkonkar. Sateri SC players ran out of steam in the final quarter of the game, as the second goal killed all their hopes of any comeback for a win or even a draw.
Vihar K made it 3-0 in the 78th minute before Vipul K scored the fourth in the dying minutes of the game.
