PONDA: Two MGP MLAs were holed up in a starred hotel on Thursday night, fuelling speculations that they were planning to split from the party and join the BJP.

Sanvordem MGP MLA Deepak Pauskar, however, denied rumours of them planning to join the BJP, but admitted that he and Pernem’s MGP MLA Babu Ajgaonkar were at a hotel to attend a function.

“I will always be with the MGP, but if the situation arises, I will contact my party workers and only then will I take a decision,” Pauskar told The Goan.

Pauskar, however, admitted having differences with Deputy Chief Minister and MGP leader Sudin Dhavalikar.

“Sudin is only concentrating on his Marcaim constituency and is not taking care of party workers in other constituencies,” complained Pauskar.
