Kreeda Bharati Goa and Arogya Bharati Goa jointly celebrated International Women’s Day at Vadenagar Higher Secondary School, Murgao. After the inauguration of the programme by chief guest Dr Shraddha Mulgaonkar Patil, Sudesh Thakur, secretary of Kreeda Bharati welcomed the gathering. “Women are so busy in routine work that they have forgotten to take some time for themselves,” Thakur stated.

He pointed out that it is because of this reason that Kreeda Bharati is organising such event to let women come together, play some games, enjoy the memories of their childhood and live for themselves.

In the first part of the programme Dr Shraddha guided women regarding their health issues after 35. “We find that women tend to ignore their health which may, later, lead to serious problems. That is why every woman should take some time for herself and think about her life. In case of health issues they should consult appropriate doctor because, if the lady of the house is healthy then the whole family is healthy,” said Dr Shraddha.

In the second women participated in the games such as dodge ball, chain making, passing the ball through cone, putting a ball in a bucket by making a team of five each etc. At the end, medals were given for the first three winning teams and participation certificates for all. The programme which was co-ordinated by Anu Modak, joint secretary, Kreeda Bharati Goa was supported by Manohar Nayakoji, Jayawant H, Shantan Naik, Santosh Prabhudesai, Pratap Dhere and  Pritesh Desai.
