A photo walk

Fontainhas in Panaji, maintains the Portuguese influence, particularly through its architecture, which includes narrow and picturesque winding streets, old villas and buildings with projecting balconies painted in the traditional tones of pale yellow, green, or blue, and roofs made of red coloured tiles. With a variety of cafes and galleries, it stands the right place for tourists as well as the budding youth to understand Goan culture.

Second Year students of Mass communication from Don Bosco College, Panaji, had a field trip to the venue as a part of their photography and editing syllabus.

Setting out at 11:30 am, the students were accompanied by two faculty members, who guided the students onto the streets to places of interest and knowledge. The journey began with a visit to the Gitanjali Gallery and Café, a modest art gallery with works by local painters, midcentury Scandinavian art, cafe and events. The next stop was the Welcome Heritage Panaji Pousada. Confeitaria 31 De Janeiro being the final site of visit, a very quaint little place as a bakery with creating a peaceful and colorful environment in an alley. The students went around questioning locals, snapping pictures to form aesthetics, and also noting down important facts.
