#TG LIFE

The Terra Rosa Gypsies are all set to unleash a feast of music and dance in a collaboration with Indian and international artistes, over a multi-city extravaganza titled ‘Jamgarh’. The event includes performances by the Terra Rosa Gypsies, Rock & Blues legend Bernie Marsden, Spanish Flamenco by Las Tablas, poetry by Bollywood lyricist and  poet, Shellee and performances by danseuse from Colombia.

Journey to Jamgarh

It began with a chance encounter between an Indian musician, and a celebrated British rock and blues star at the Guitare en Scene guitar festival in France in 2012. Backstage at the festival, the two—Vineet Sharma, vocalist and founder of the Terra Rosa Gypsies, and Bernie Marsden, rock and blues guitar player, singer, songwriter and ex-member of the great ‘80s rock band Whitesnake—discussed a collaboration through a workshop in India. What followed was a 10-day-long jam session between the Terra Rosa Gypsies and Bernie on an island in Goa in 2014. Bernie went back and later recorded his parts of the album at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. He introduced Vineet to Rob Cass, the Studios’ music producer, and subsequently, it was Rob’s fine touch, developed over three decades of experience, that went into producing the first nine songs of the album ‘Terra Rosa’.

The genesis of Terra Rosa Gypsies lies in the collaborative project with Bernie Marsden.

Jamgarh started three years ago as a private congressional of musicians in the sylvan surrounds of a beautiful resort in Ramgarh, Uttarakhand (‘Levitate @ Ramgarh’) with the clear objective of providing a quiet, inspiring space for artists to gather, share talents & influences, collaborate and create new music.

A space far away from the word of endless formatted gigs and creative shackles. Word quickly spread amongst discerning lovers of independent music and in July 2018, the Jamgarh Music Festival took shape – a three day finely curated event with over 15 versatile artists and a small passionate gathering of 250 attendees at the glorious Levitate @ Ramgarh property.

The concert tour

These collaborative projects of the Terra Rosa Gypsies – first with Bernie Marsden and then at the music festival in Ramgarh - now come together as Jamgarh Music Festival Concert Tour, a live continuance of a musical journey blending true rock, blues and Indian fusion with Spanish and Latin dance rhythms.
