Setting up shop in Goa to give shape to your business plan and need land in any of the industrial estates of the Goa Industrial Development Corporation? Your needs are now just a click of the mouse away from being fulfilled.

The GIDC has made it mandatory, from a day after Christmas, that it will henceforth accept and process applications for land or plot allotment exclusively through the electronic mode online. So, you no longer have to physically submit any document or visit the Goa-IDC headquarters to apply for land.

The order was issued on December 26 by Goa-IDC managing director Narayan Gad in which the Corporation’s officials have been instructed to process the applications through the online mode only.

Gad in his order however said that inspections if needed as part of processing and service dissemination will be conducted onsite, physically.  Payments of service fees and other charges can be paid online, Gad’s order said, adding that follow-up queries are also to be submitted online by the applicants only once and within seven days of making the application.
