Guirdolim Club will organise their 47th all-Goa cycle race in association with Bhise Brothers at Guirdolim on January 1 at 7.30 am. The race starts from Guirdolim junction and winds its way through Macazana, Curtorim, Maina, Sonsodo, Chowgule College junction and back to Guridolim 

via Agxem.  

“We are proud to announce the 47th edition of the race as Guirdolim Club is the only club in the State to conduct such an event for past four decades,” said Guridolim Club president Patwin 


The race will be held in three categories -- men’s, college category and above 45 years of age. There will be a special prize for the first finisher from the Chandor-Guirdolim village.  

“We have received over 45 entries so far and this time we have Xaxti Riders confirming their participation along with various colleges such as Chowgule College, Rosary College, Navelim, Government College Quepem. We are expecting more entries this year,” added Patwin. “Besides the winners, top 20 finishers will get the consolation prizes,” Patwin informed.  

This edition of the race will have a new champion since the club had suspended three-time champion Fredsan Marshall for indecent behaviour in the previous edition. Speaking on the occasion, Sudesh Bhise said, “The participants can confirm their entries to the president Patwin or through email at Spot entries are also accepted, provided the participants report at the venue by 7.30 am.”
