The Goa Couture Fashion Night is getting ready for a glittery start on December 7 and the participants are geared up to set the ramp on fire. The show produced by Hema Nagvekar will have 21 beautiful dazzle the stage on the tunes of DJ Holy C and DJ Mario who would spin the magic for the night. In this edition, Studio Naach by Deboshree Roy Chowdhury will be associated with the event. Deboshree’s love for dance dates back to her childhood days when she was caught dancing in the bathroom and in different corners of her house.

She trained herself with Omaggio Performing company and The Danceworx Performing Academy for almost 10 years. She was part of the musical Jhumroo - A tribute to Kishore Kumar in one of India’s first musical theatre venue called Kingdom of Dreams where she went on to perform for almost 300 shows. With the aim to specialise in dance she moved to Goa where she immersed herself in rigorous dance training for 4 and a half years.

She has now ventured into a world where she is exploring her own creativity with clothing. Having trained herself in Ballet, Contemporary Dance Techniques and Aerial Arts with faculty from all over the world including artists from the reputed Cirque Du Soleil, she believes that her clothing is an extension of her dancing. Asymmetry in her clothing came from the love for the same in her movement.

Now, she choreographs and creates art pieces that are very close to her heart and have a deeper meaning behind them. Her dancing and her clothing is a statement of her personality and she shares them both effortlessly.

Naach is a clothing line born from the heart of a dancer.

All the designs have used traditional Jaipuri Cotton and Ikkat fabric. Naach aims to become one of the leading Indo-Western fusion clothing brands in India. We aim give men a collection that is unique and stylish at the same time. She intends to add style to the look with Indian fabrics but with daring cuts.

The collection that will be presented at Goa Couture Fashion Night has been inspired by Indian Mythology where the outfits like the Shiva Crop Top, the Dancing Draupadi, the Effortless Arjun etc and each one has a story to narrate. The designer has tried to mix comfort with style and edge with funk, to make naach ‘effortlessly you’.

The Goa Couture Fashion Night will have Le Meridien Goa, an award winning 5-star hotel located in the bustling Calangute-Sinquerim belt. The event will be held at ‘Telhado’, the open to sky terrace venue spread over 6000sq ft that overlooks the magnificent Arabian Sea on one side and the verdant green hills on the other. Victor Chen, general manager, Le Meridien Goa emphasised on authentic hospitality which he feels will lead to enhanced guest experience and thereby driving brand preference As a passionate hotelier, he is committed to nurturing talent and has mentored many young talents who have gone on to hold key positions at some of the country’s iconic hotels.
