Gurukul, an academy of cricket umpires, scorers and referees (ACUSR), felicitated veteran umpires Dr Raja Nagarajan, Madhav Dhargalker and Ravindra Bukkam
recently.
In its second edition, a small felicitation function was organised at their respective homes to felicitate Atchut (Mahesh) Prabhakar Dhond (1989 batch), Pramod Yeshwant Ramani (1974 batch) and Prof Avdhut (Bharat) Govind Agshikar (1974 batch).
Ramani and Agshikar qualified the State panel umpires examination under the same examiner from Mumbai Cricket Association, JJ Kore, while late JD Reuben (former Test umpire) from Maharashtra Cricket Association conducted the examination in 1989 when Dhond cleared the umpires’ examination. All the three veterans hail
from Panaji.
