A minute before the breather, Franky sent a through pass to Diptesh  Naik, who drilled a low shot on target but  was collected by Sporting keeper Gurpreet Singh with a full  stretched diving save.

In a counter attack, Gaurav was back in action as his stiff  grounder was blocked by Calangute keeper Savio where the ball travelled  to Marcus, who slotted the ball into the nets to make it 1-0.

On crossing ends Flaming Oranje almost doubled their lead through Marcus  who was thwarted by rival keeper Savio in one to one situation.

Ten minutes later, substitute Ganesh Thakur, who had scored in the last  match against Goan FC, should have extended the lead for Sporting as he  dribbled past a host of rival defenders but saw his placement being blocked by a defender.
