MES college student selected for India U-19 football team

Ribhav Sardesai, a student from MES College of Arts and  Commerce, Zuarinagar-Vasco, has been selected for the India U-19  Football National team and is the only Goan in the national team.  

Sardesai, who is studying in the first year of the BBA  (Bachelor of Business Administration) course at MES College, also recently represented the country in the four-nation  International Football Tournament held in Croatia, which included the  U-19 National teams of France, Croatia and Slovenia. 

After  the tournament, the national U-19 football team went to Serbia on an  exposure trip. In 2013, Sardesai donned the Indian national colours  when he represented India U-14 for the AFC qualifiers, in Mashaad, Iran.  In 2015, he represented India U-16 for the SAAF Cup (where India  emerged runners-up) in Silhette.

Sardesai also represented  Goa in 2012 at the National Football festival organized by AIFF in  Kalyani, West Bengal and in 2015 he represented Goa at the National  School Games in Telangana where they emerged champions. Sardesai is also a midfielder in the Salgaocar FC team and is currently playing in the Goa Pro-League and U-20 I-League.
