The National Hindu Movement will stage a protest march in Ponda on Sunday evening to oppose demands for a ban on the Sanatan Sanstha.

The protest march will commence from the Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Upper Bazar, Ponda at 4 pm.

Thereafter, the rally will move through Upper Bazaar and Dada Vaidya Chowk and will culminate into a gathering near the Aguiar ground at Tisk-Ponda.

In the press release, Dr Manoj Solanki of National Hindu Movement  has said the Sanatan Sanstha is an institution which imparts religious education to the Hindu community and is a guiding lighthouse in the field of spirituality.

“In recent times, the Sanstha is being targeted for political interests. Some groups are seeking a ban on the Sanatan Sanstha,”he said.

“Likewise, baseless allegations are being levelled against the Sanatan Sanstha and other Hindu organisations. In order to protest against the same, various Hindu organisations have organised a protest march,” he said.
