Kewal, Aaron, Pranav, Nikhil advance to semis; Aaron, Harsh, Aman qualify

Kewal Tamhankar, Aaron Colaco, Pranav Naik and Nikhil Jadhav moved into the youth (U-21) category semi finals at the 8th Late Ramacanta V.P. Dharwatkar memorial all-Goa table tennis tournament organised by Panjim Table 

Tennis Club in collaboration with the Sports Authority of Goa.  

In the annual non-ranking tournament to promote upcoming players, Anish Verlekar, Advait Mudras, Aaron Coalco and Vedant Kulkarni made it to the last-four grade in the junior boys singles category.  

In sub-junior boys singles, Aaron Farias, Harsh Bharne, Aman Chowhan, Darren Duarte, Fynn Gonsalves, Rishan Sheikh and Dhruv Helekar advanced to the quarter-finals. Rishaan Sheikh, Hrishi Dayekar, Yatharth Baliyan and Sidhant Parsekar have entered the mini-cadets boys semi- finals.  

Earlier, the championship was inaugurated by Durgadas Kamat, Vice-President, Goa Forward Party in the presence of Mahendra Dharwatkar (sports promoter), Irwin Cordo (DSYA TT Coach), Selvyn Godinho (Panjim TT Club Secretary) and Sandeep Heble(Vice-President, Panjim TT Club). Results:

Cadet boys pre-quarters: Aaron Farias bt Shourya Gandhi 3 -1 (11-7, 11-6, 8-11, 11-5), Harsh Bharne bt Yathath Balliyan 3- 2 (11-8, 9-11, 11-7, 6-11, 11-7), Aman Chowhan bt Athav Sawant 3-1 (11-4, 11-5, 8-11, 11-7), Darren Duarte bt Pushkar Virgincar 3-1 (11-8, 11-4, 8-11, 11-6), Fynn Gonsalves bt Sourish Kolwalkar 3-0 (11-8, 11-7, 11-9), Rishan Sheikh bt Sidhant Parsekar 3-1 (7-11, 11-6, 11-5, 11-9), Dhruv Helekar bt Aman Kamat 3-2 (11-7, 8-11, 11-9, 12-10).
