Are the three persons, who were summoned by the Fatorda police in connection with the doctored video on TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai has links with the ruling coalition government?

This question did the rounds in Fatorda on Sunday as the trio failed to turn up at the police station for an inquiry.

Sources did not rule out the possibility of the police going slow in the case on the grounds that these persons may have some links with the ruling party in the coalition government. Fatorda Police station in-charge, PI Navlesh Desai, however, said the police has initiated a preliminary inquiry in the case

and had summoned the three persons based on a complaint.

“The police had called the three persons for the inquiry, but they did not turn up after submitting written explanation about their inability to make themselves present for the inquiry,” he said.

It is learnt that while one of the persons said he is presently gone out of station, the second person submitted in writing that he cannot make it to the police station given that his father is indisposed.

The Fatorda police had initiated the preliminary inquiry into the complaint lodged by Goa Forward party vice-president Durgadas Kamat seeking an inquiry into the episode where unknown persons allegedly doctored the video by showing the TCP Minister allegedly insulting the outraging the modesty of a fish vendor.

Based on the Durgadas Kamat’s complaint, the Fatorda police had zeroed in on the three persons, who are reportedly professionals, including a banker, lecturer and a laywer.
