MARGAO: Parish Youth, Nuvem overcame United Club of Benaulim 3-2 to enter the semi-final of the 29th Super Soccer football tournament organised by United boys of Dando Colva at Sao Joao Baptist Dando ground, Benaulim on Saturday.
Parish Youth broke the deadlock in the 11th minute through Godfrey Mascarenhas, who unleashed a volley straight into the net. However, their joy was short lived as three minutes later, Nicholas Rodrigues unleashed a blistering left footed shot in to the net.
In the 22nd minute, Stephen Colaco regained the lead for the Parish Youth.
The second half produced two goals, one for each side, giving the Nuvem based team a 3-2 win. In the 37th, Nicholas Rodrigues neutralized the lead, but that was short lived as Stephen Colaco struck the match winner for the Parish Youth within minutes.
