Goa Velha SC beat Chapora Yuvak Sangh

DULER: Goa Velha SC proved to be too good as they registered a fluent 3-1 win over Chapora Yuvak Sangh to enter the quarter-finals of the Milagres Soccer Cup 2018, organized by Milagres sports club, played at Duler stadium, here on Saturday.  

Goa Velha went into the breather with a one goal lead, through Arun Naik, who put his team ahead with a neat placement in the 30th minute of play.  

On crossing over, Goa Velha pumped in two more goals in the 58th and 64th minute from the boots of Chatur Naik and Francis Fernandes, who both scored from inside the penalty box to make it 3-0.  

Chapora tried to get back into the match, but it proved to be a little too late. H

owever, striker Saprem Diukar pulled on back in the 70th minute with a power-packed right footer to make it 3-1.  

In the first quarter-finals, CDJ Ribandar will take on Saligao Sporting club on June 26.
