Borda RCC won the Bodgeshwar Trophy cricket tournament with a handsome victory over Panaji RCC at Korgaonkar ground, Mapusa.
Some accurate bowling by off-spinner Saiesh Satardekar (5/11) and Tushar Kudnekar (3/8) enabled Borda to skittle out the Panaji side for a paltry 28 runs 12.2 overs.
None of the Panaji batsmen could counter the rival bowling that also included diminutive off-spinner Rudresh Sharma (2 for 5), who polished off the tail.
Tushar Kudnekar made short work of the target by scoring a six off the last ball as Borda finished with 33 for no loss in 4 overs. Tushar remained unbeaten on 31 runs.
Tushar Kudnekar and Saiesh Satardekar (both from Borda RCC) were named the Best Batsman and Best Bowler respectively while the Man-of-the Series award was presented to Vedang Naik (Saraswat RCC). Water Resources Mnister Vinod Palyekar was the Chief Guest and gave away
the prizes.
