A summer football camp was organised by Devkikrishna Sports Club, Marcel in association with Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) Marcel Centre and Brahmeshwar Yuvak Sangh Akhada at Akhada ground.
The camp for children between the age group of 6 to 14 years, kicked off on May 5 and ended on May 21. Around 55 children took part in the camp.
GFDC Chairman, Dr Rufino Monteiro was happy with the response. “This camp was conducted smoothly and it was nice to see large number of kids attend this camp. I would like those who participated in this camp to continue with regular round the year training by registering with the Marcel centre as children who play will imbibe discipline and good health,” he said.
The other guests for the valedictory function were Surendra Volvoikar, panch member, St Estevam village panchayat; Eshwar Kubal, headmaster of Saraswati High School, Juve; Tulsidas Sawant, president of Brahmeshwar Yuvak Sangh Akhada; Omkar Amonkar, president of Devkikrishna Sports Club Marcel.
Dayanand Bhagat, the centre head of GFDC Marcel, welcomed the guests and Tulsidas Sawant proposed the vote of thanks.
