Non-maintenance of the football ground and the construction of a club house took centre stage at the gram sabha of Orlim Panchayat on Sunday.

The meeting chaired by Saprnach Tamica Da Silva was attended by all the panchayat members, including Deputy Sapranch Keizar Martins.

Members pointed out that the village panchayat ground has been lying in a damaged state for want of maintenance. After much discussions, it was decided to take a delegation to the local MLA Churchill Alemao with a plea to call the department officials concerned and ensure that the football ground is restored back to its condition.

After the meeting, the Colva Traffic cell held an awareness programme for the gram sabha members on traffic discipline and other traffic laws.
