We often see this on television. The guy plans out a dreamy date for his lady love (or at times vice-versa), which seems almost too good to be true, cue the 2 minute date in How I Met Your Mother. Or there are those splendid wedding proposals which all but turn you to mush. Planning these out in real life though is not always as easy. And that is where Adilea De Sa’s Table Number 7, Proposal and Date Planners comes in.

“A lot of times guys do want to make their date really special for their loved one, but they don’t always know where or how to start,” says De Sa, who started her initiative two years ago.

A sucker for all things romance, De Sa always loved the whole idea of gifting an experience . Her obsession with Pinterest, got her thinking on how she could take event planning love further and create something unique. And thus Table Number 7 came into being.

“At weddings and other events abroad they have this whole system of grouping guests at tables with different number 7. That’s how I got the idea for the name. Plus the number 7 looks really stylish,” she reveals.

Through Table Number 7 you can request a special date planned out for your loved on. If you are looking to pop the big question, Table Number 7 also strives to help you make it unique and leave you misty-eyed.

“People usually hit us up on social media. Once on board, we ask the person who has reached out to us to tell us their love story and share the little things or routines they may do as a couple. If it’s a proposal, we enquire whether the loved one has ever given any hints into their dream proposal. This way we can make the whole experience more personal and design the decor accordingly,” says De Sa, adding that this is why they do not have any fixed packages in place. De Sa also ensures that they involve the person in all the planning so that the date sees the effort that has been put in is not all by the company.

And there have been plenty of interesting and memorable experiences. “We once did a setting similar to the finale wedding in Gilmore Girls which I especially loved,” she shares. Luckily, she adds chuckling, they haven’t had any experiences where the proposal went wrong.

“It’s always so special to see how it all pans out. There have been times when the girl came forward and requested the whole set up. Seeing the look on the amazed guy’s face is just wonderful,” she says. And while at present they focus only on the decor aspect, Table Number 7 is hoping to also include a pantry among other things. “We’re looking to experiment with techniques and design aspects beyond candles and fairy lights and take the whole experience to an ethereal level,” she says.
