In a fresh lead in the Child adoption case, Vasco police have managed to trace the parents of two children among the eight minor girls rescued from a flat in Baina by Childline.
Vasco PI Nolasco Raposo on Sunday has said that police are probing the case in all angles and are determined to take the case to its logical conclusion.
“The police have so far arrested 63-year old woman Venus Habib and another male accused person, 60-year-old P .Takaria from Telangana. We have also identified the parents of two girls. The rescued minor girls are presently placed at Apna Ghar,” Raposo said.
Raposo further informed that the a team of Vasco police had gone to Hyderabad to ascertain the paternity of the two minor girls. “We also sent a police team led by PSI Suraj Kankonkar to Hyderabad to confirm the identity of the parents. We will also ensure that the so-called parents take a paternity test. We are determined to find out the parents of all these eight minor girls and bring the case to its logical conclusion after interrogating them,” the PI said.
