Smarting from being accused as a party of outsiders, the Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday poked fun at the two national parties - the BJP and the Congress- who they said, have to rely on leaders from outside the state to manage their affairs.
“The AAP was called a party of outsiders by these same people. These political parties with so many ‘incompetent’ leaders are lost at sea without any mutual trust amongst them. It has now surfaced that there is a group of minority MLAs within the BJP who are not comfortable in the party without Parrikar,” AAP Goa General Secretary Pradeep Padgaonkar said adding that at present there is “no agenda of governance at all and it is only a time pass government.”
Padgaonkar was referring to both the Congress and the BJP sending down central leaders to guide the local leaders of their parties in the state.
The party claimed that its Goa unit was functioning under the leadership of Elvis Gomes “without any sort of influence from any outsider.”
Party leader Elvis Gomes pointed to the current standstill in governance as reflective of the total incompetence of the BJP to manage from a simple crisis of the chief minister’s ailment.
