Rape case: Fatorda police trace missing Borda girl in Mumbai

The Fatorda police has traced the missing minor girl from Borda from Mumbai, where she had fled to avoid the rape accused, after he threatened to make viral the video of the girl on social media.
Fatorda PI Navlesh Desai told The Goan that the girl went to Mumbai to avoid the accused from Sanguem as he had threatened to make viral her video.
“Our team which was sent to Mumbai has returned with the girl from the house where she was working as a house maid,” he said.
PI Navlesh said the Fatorda police has already arrested the accused from Kallay-Sanguem under various provisions of the law, including rape, under the Goa Children’s Act, POSCO and under the provisions of the Information Technology Act.
“The police have also booked him for extortion after he tried to extort money from the family of the victim girl with a threat to make the video viral,” PI Navlesh said. The police are investigating.
