Despite Goa being one of the most popular holiday destinations of India, only two hotels from the state managed to win recognition at the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2018.
The two hotels from Goa, which featured in the top 25 hotels of India are Acron Waterfront Resort in Baga and Taj Exotica Resort and Spa in Benaulim.
Rajasthan dominated the awards as eight properties from the state featured in the top 25 hotels of India as per The Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2018. The top four hotels were all from Rajasthan in the list, which included Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur (first place), The Leela Palace in Udaipur (second place), The Oberois Rajvilas in Jaipur (third place) and Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur (fourth place).
Of the top 5, the only hotel which wasn’t from Rajasthan was Evolve Back in Coorg, Karnataka. Acron Waterfront Resort in Baga stood sixth in the list of top 25 hotels at The Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2018.
Moreover, Acron Waterfront Resort was also recognized as the best resort in Goa.

The city of Bangalore also dominated the awards as four hotels from the city were in the top 25 list, which included The Oberoi (stood 16th), Sheraton Grand Bangalore (stood 19th), Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park (stood 20th) and Courtyard Bengaluru (stood 24th).
Interestingly, not a single hotel from the capital city of Delhi featured among the top 25 hotels.
Meanwhile, Sofitel Mumbai BKC from Mumbai stood 13th and Taj Falaknuma Palace from Hyderabad stood 15th in the list.
