PANAJI: Chairman of the newly created Greater Panaji PDA Atanasio Monserrate has promised that he will redraft a new outline development plan for Taleigao after chairing the first meeting of the newly constituted PDA.
Monserrate who was recently appointed as the chairman informed that the other decisions regarding the removal of villages from the PDA including Santa Cruz, Merces and parts of Curca, Bambolim and Telaulim will be decided by the Town and Country Planning Board which is to meet next week.
“We have only taken a decision to redraft the Outline Development Plan of Taleigao. Other decisions, let the board decide,” Monserrate said.
Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai assured villagers of Santa Cruz, Merces, Chimbel, Curca, Bambolim and Telaulim panchayats who met him in an effort to press forward with their demand to have the Greater Panaji PDA scrapped, that their demand would be considered.
