PANAJI: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will return to India possibly before March 20 with a view to continuing further treatment closer home.
Depending on whether his return to India is of a short or long duration, the Chief Minister will take stock of the situation in Goa, especially in view of reports that the fragile coalition that was strung together by him being the leader, was falling apart. The Chief Minister left around a week back, initially to Mumbai, but later left for treatment to the US, while seeking the prayers of the people of Goa.
Sources familiar with the matter have informed that the Chief Minister will consult with doctors in Mumbai upon his return, which will be around the 20th of this month and depending on the consultation further treatment will either be done in India or he will return back to the US.
The Chief Minister has put in place a system in his absence where certain decisions can be taken by a group of three ministers, even as he has retained most of the powers with himself.
