The first edition of the Vinora Enetrtainment & photography solutions, All India Photography contest cum exhibition was held on February 18 and 19 at Kala Academy.
PANAJI: The event was inaugurated by renowned singer Hema Sardesai along with the eminent fashion and commercial photographer Prasad Pankar.
The two themes of the contest “Emotion through lens” and “Incredible Wildlife” offered a diverse perspective to photographers from all over India in participating at the event.
In the ‘Emotions through the lens’ category, first place (cash prize of Rs 10,000 + trophy + certificate) was awarded to Bharti Naik (Goa), second place (cash prize of Rs 5,000 + trophy + certificate) was awarded to Kedar Marathe (Goa); Judge’s Choice Award (free photography course at CMYK Academy of Photography by Prasad Pankar) was awarded to Sukanta Rakshit (West Bengal).
In ‘Incredible Wildlife’ category the winners were, Amit Soyru winning the first place and the second place being won by Suvidha Venktesh Prabhu Chodnekar, while the Judge’s Choice Award was given to Kedar Marathe.
