Salgaocar FC (Jrs) thrashed Clube Sao Minguel de Taleigao 7-1 in the GFA Geno First Division League at Fatorda on Tuesday.
The Salgaocar juniors side went on a rampage from the word go as they scored the first goal in the 3rd minute itself through Dylan Laurenco. Ronaldo Oliveira added two more goals in the 16th and 28th minute. Stephen Satarkar went on to add another in the first session additional time. Crossing over, Ronaldo Oliveira completed his hat-trick in the 49th minute. Dylan Laurenco added another goal in the next minute. Kevin Negeredo further added misery to Sao Minguel camp as he made it 7-0 in the 93rd minute. Pritesh Sawant pulled one back for the Taleigao side while the junior Green Brigade began the league on a positive note. The Taleigao club, however, faced their second defeat of the league as they had lost to St Savio SC 1-0 in their first game.
Elsewhere, Dempo SC Jrs and Youth Club of Manora played out a goalless draw at Sirsaim ground. Both teams failed to open their accounts as they lacked in finishing skills. Both teams thereby gained their first points of the league as the Manora team had lost their previous encounter while this was the Golden Eagles’ first game.
