Govt turns quality-conscious on education in its schools, to conduct surprise checks

Aiming at monitoring the quality of education in government-run schools, State Government has decided to conduct surprise inspection of government-run primary and high schools across the State.The State Directorate of Education (DoE) has constituted zone-wise inspection team headed by Deputy Director of Education Shailesh Sinai Zingde which will conduct the surprise inspection. Further, a detailed report of the inspection will be compiled, which the committee has been asked to submit to the Education Director.

The order issued by Education Director Gajanan Bhat states, “The zone-wise inspection team is hereby constituted for surprise inspection of the government primary schools and government high schools in the State of Goa, so as to monitor the quality of education in the said government schools with immediate effect.”

ADEI, Bicholim and a block resource person (BRP) are the members for the North Zone; ADEI, Tiswadi and a BRP are the members for Central Zone and ADEI, Canacona are the members for South Zone.

“Each team shall carry out surprise inspection of the government primary schools and government high schools under the jurisdiction of respective zone and shall submit the inspection report to the undersigned immediately”, stated the order.
