Charging the world with the power of love

Goan singer Hema Sardesai's debut international single Power of Love launched recently in New York City, with Indian TV star Mishaal Raheja and Grammy award winning producer Tony Mercedes, is already making waves.
Popularly known as the ‘Awaara Bhavaren' girl, Hema is aware of having created history when she worked with Tony Mercedes - one of the publishers of the Ed Sheeran's ‘Shape of You' worldwide hit. Thrilled to have chosen by Tony who has worked with the biggest international singers like Toni Braxton, Pink TLC etc, Hema adds that another Grammy award winner, Jared Lee Gosselin has also worked on this single. Excited to enter in the famous ‘Cycadelic' studio at Universal City, Los Angeles, to sing her inspirational song written by Rion Michael, Hema calls all this a divine miracle. "We see so many teenage suicides around us today. The world is going through a gloom period. Through my tune Power of Love I want to make the world free from depression and turn it into a positive place to live in," says Hema who has promised herself to treat this as her mission and take her songs on similar themes across the globe.
The only Indian singer to win the ‘Grand Prix' in Germany and perform at the International UNICEF Concert in Europe, this singer of the soil has made Goa proud by her singing at the 50th anniversary of Independence of India in New Delhi. A versatile singer who has given 100 plus songs to Bollywood, Hema comes from that genre of artists who treat music as divine and would do anything and everything to keep it so. Taking pride in singing and composing and sometimes scripting her own songs, Hema has earned high respect in the world of music - not only for her talent but also for her outlook towards this great art that has the power to bind the world together and spread positiveness. "I don't come from a family of musicians or singers but it's a God's gift to me to own a voice that suits all kinds of singing - Indian, Western, classical, pop or folklore," she adds, while also crediting spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of Art of Living Foundation for making her who she is today,
Hema who has taken Goa to Hollywood through the single, has always tried to retain
the dignity of womanhood as an artist by choosing to take brave decisions and opting to walk on the path of sacrifices, yet feeling very proud about it. "You don't become great by touching the sky. Humbleness counts. A person should remain thankful for whatever he has achieved in his life by the grace of God," feels Hema who has won hearts of millions of admirers through her versatile singing and down- to-earth attitude.
