Tax, non-tax revenue @ Rs 5,824.4 cr in FY2017-18 so far

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has informed that State's tax and non-tax revenue combined stood at Rs 5,824.4 crore for the current financial year 2017-18 so far. This figure pertains to the period between April 1 and October 31, 2017.
Parrikar provided this information while responding to a question tabled by Quepem MLA, Chandrakant ‘Babu' Kavalekar in the ongoing session of the assembly. He also said that this figure includes power sale receipts.
Parrikar further informed that the state has already received a sum of Rs 1,275.36 crore as share in central taxes for the period between April 1 and October 31, 2017. The state government received Rs 2,299.2 crore in the entire FY 2016-17 as share in central taxes.
Meanwhile, the state government has received Rs 560.73 crore on account of Goods-and-Services-Tax (GST) between July 1 and October 31, 2017. In the first six months of the current financial year, the state also received Rs 193.12 crore from excise duty/fees. In the same time period, stamp duty and registration fees collection stood at Rs 293.7 crore.
