No infrastructure tax for single dwelling units

The Town and Country Planning Board has decided to waive the infrastructure tax for single dwelling units with Chairman Vijai Sardesai saying that the move is "to show our commitment and remain committed to the common man."

"Single-family dwellings, we are proposing to waive the infrastructure tax for constructions up to 250 square metres and the licensing procedure, will be simplified," Sardesai announced.
"This is only for Goans, 2nd generation Goans. This is not for someone who is going to buy a plot. His birth certificate and his father's birth certificate has to be included,"
Sardesai added.
