Curious case of untraceable hideouts

| NOVEMBER 23, 2017, 02:11 AM IST

It has become a trend these days for politicians, businessmen, the rich and elite to go underground to avoid arrest. Some even leave the country in broad daylight and the authorities are unable to trace the hideouts in spite of all kinds of rigorous searches.
However, the moment bail is granted, the accused appear. One must appreciate the skill and ingenuity of these people with their untraceable hideouts. They even decide when to get arrested themselves in great style and with grand publicity. It is no longer a matter of shame to go to prison but a matter of prestige with special qualifications for pursuing political career as it gives added advantage and opportunity to cry foul of political vendetta which increases public sympathy. And then there are those that surrender with complaints of chest pain so as to end up in a hospital bed instead of jail.
It is high time now to appreciate, felicitate and honour these very efficient and skilled agencies that are unable to trace the ‘secret' hideouts of accused politicians, rich businessmen, etc thus prolonging cases and creating intermittent ripples of sensation later by making arrests, interrogating/quizzing for hours to fool the general public.
