"This is a mysterious land and I am very happy to have done my film, Beyond the Clouds in India with brilliant Indian crew and cast," said Majid at a press conference at IFFI.
When asked how he wanted to portray a female protagonist in his film, Majid replied, "I take the story and the subjects through the society and people. In countries with big population women face more problems. But problems offer visions, in different situations. I was thinking how we can highlight the social problems with a ray of hope. Tara (the character in the film) could be the representative of some woman in society who has to sacrifice. My heroes fight for their life. I tried to show the kind of problem but my camera showed it in a honourable way," admitted Majid.
Speaking of A R Rehman with high regards, Majid exclaimed that Rehman is a special person. "He is a talented musician but he is flexible and take criticism. He listens and understands. We have mutual understanding. It helps to reach the target in a better way. The only problem about working with Rehman is he works at night. When we are sleeping, he will come and wake us up and say, ‘Come and listen," said Majid
Also present at the meet was actor Ishaan Khatter, brother of Shahid Kapoor and actress Malavika Mohanan.
