The screening of films of the 48th International Film festival of India (IFFI) 2017 was inaugurated in 1930 Mall at Vasco on Tuesday.

Marathi film actress Mrunal Kulkarni, who has acted in the Marathi movie ‘Yellow' that is being showcased at the 48th IFFI, inaugurated the IFFI 2017 in the presence of Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) Chairperson MMC Deepak Naik, Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes and other dignitaries of the film industry.
After the inauguration, a Marathi movie on special children ‘Yellow' was showcased in K Sera Sera miniplex at the 1930 Mall. Actress Mrunal Kulkarni, who has acted in the movie ‘Yellow' was also present for the screening.
Speaking on the occasion, Kulkarni said she was happy that she got an opportunity to visit Vasco. "I come for IFFI every year, but it was restricted to Panaji only. This year, I have come to Vasco. I am also happy that this year 9 Marathi movies are showcased in the IFFI and the love shown by Goans to Marathi movies has increased manifold."
