Fireworks likely at MGP’s meeting today

Sources informed that some of the central committee members are feeling betrayed as they were not informed about the terms and conditions MGP had agreed to while granting support to BJP.
"Following the development, one of the central committee members and former MLA Parshuram Kotkar had written to Party President Deepak Dhavalikar about the same. The Party President had then called a joint meeting of central committee with the MLAs wherein none of them spoke about it. Instead the legislature wing head Sudin Dhavalikar said he had conveyed to the Chief Minister about giving some of the corporations to MGP. But nothing has happened so far", informed a central committee member stating that none of the Party's central committee members were informed about the terms and conditions MGP had agreed upon while supporting BJP.
"The Party President is answerable. We will definitely question him on this. We want to know", informed the source.
When contacted, MGP Party President Deepak Dhavalikar said the meeting has been called for strengthening party's base ahead of Lok Sabha polls. "We want to make the Party strong, especially those constituencies in which we had contested the State Legislative Assembly polls", he informed. Another issue on the agenda is discussion on the election of the central committee of MGP. "The three-year term of the central committee is ending in December. So we will have to hold elections soon", said Dhavalikar.
