The Enforcement Directorate has taken possession of the flats owned by Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao, which were earlier attached by the investigating agency under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in the Louis Berger case.
The Benaulim MLA, however, has cried foul over the Enforcement Directorate's action, saying the flats attached by the agency, were given to him by the builder in lieu of the property owned by his grandparents.
The Enforcement Directorate has put up notices on the flats located in the Coconut Groove Residence at Fatrade, Varca. The notice signed by Pravin Pawar, IPS, Joint Director, Enforcement Directorate, Panjim has prohibited and restrained anyone from transferring and charging the property by sale, gift, mortgaged, pledged in any manner
