Yoga guru and the face of Patanjali, Baba Ramdev on Saturday laid out a proposal before Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to take forward the work of yoga and ‘goseva' (in service of the cow) in Goa with the cooperation with the State government.
Speaking to The Goan soon after meeting the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar at his Altinho residence, Baba Ramdev said "I have proposed to the Chief Minister that there is ample scope to widen the work of ‘goseva' and yoga and also to give it a professional touch".
While planning to take his yoga movement forward in Goa, Baba Ramdev said there is a mass movement happening across the nation on yoga, ayurveda and swadeshi.
He said he held wide-ranging talks with all those concerned, including organisations involved in yoga and took stock of the situation prevalent in Goa.
While stating that Parrikar is his old friend, Baba Ramdev extended a hand to the government to spread yoga across the State.
In a major planning and sales exercise, Baba Ramdev also interacted with Patanjali office bearers in a hotel in Panaji throughout the day.
It is also learnt that Patanjali is planning to introduce a new project in Goa for which initial talks are underway.
