;Goencho Tembo' wins the Short Film College Contest

Goencho Tembo won the recent Goa's Online Short Film Festival (GOSFF17) 2017 for colleges. GOSFF17 is an Online Short Film Fest which has been showcased on various platforms thus taking their work to the Goan Diaspora across the globe. The contest was organised by ‘GoenchoBalcao', Goa's first official online entertainment platform showcasing Goan films, tiatr's, music videos and celebrations. As a part of their first anniversary celebrations, they came forward to host GOSFF17, that was curated specially for college students across Goa with the sole intention of promoting Goa's youth and giving them a platform to shine. The theme for the film fest involved any traditional Goan folklore, occupation, craft, art, history as part of the script and the language major was Konkani .
For this year's inaugural edition , five films were screened at Maquinez Palace , Panaji with the Entertainment Society of Goa as hosting partners. .
.Benhur Shaan Silva's (son of tiatrist John Dsilva) short film "Hope" was also screened at the event.
"We believe GOSFF17 is a stepping stone and the opportunity for our youth to set sail with the wind , crossing boundaries and conquering Goan hearts across the oceans," said Nigel Quadros, founder GoenchoBalcao.
We are really overjoyed with the response of the festival and we will be having more events such as these along the way to digital archive the film industry media online for the world online," added Nigel.
