The highlight of the match was a brilliant brace by Fr Valentine Alvares.
Both the teams displayed attacking brand of soccer and kept the crowds on their toes. Fr Valentine Alvares was in the thick of action and struck twice in the opening stanza. Crossing over, Shiroda Parishioners put up an improved display and Tony Fernandes reduced
the deficit.
Earlier Fr John Albano Fernandes, Assistant Parish Priest, declared the tournament open. Fr Francisco Fernandes, Parish Priest of Shiroda Church was the chief guest and gave away the prizes. Fr Valentine Alvares of Diocesan Priests was adjudged as the Man of
the match.
