The 4th Tiatr ‘B' Group Competition 2017-18 comprising 17 tiatrs commenced on September 12 at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Panaji. The Competition showcases the promising stage artistes in acting, comedy, acting, music, script writing and direction many of who eventually carve a career in the industry. One of the staged tiatrs, Nit Konn Ghetolo? had an all-children cast with the director, Edmar Barreto still a student as well. Salvador Afons' NGO is an eye-opening drama staged by Sao Jose De Areal Two Cross Gymnasium Sports Club, Salcete.
The programme which continues up to October 5 is ticketed at a Rs. 50 and staged from 7pm. The top three tiatrs in the competition will move up to the Tiatr A grade.
